Angela Knight-Allen | AXA
Born in a close-knit community in Kingston, Jamaica, not only was I raised by my parents but also the community and church. Fortunate to have had positive role models and having experienced some of the most inspirational leaders and managers throughout my early work life, I developed a deep residing passion to influence for good. My philosophy is: If I could touch someone as I journey on, my time would not be in vain.
With every opportunity I tried to empower and encourage people to be the best they can be.
After 10 years in the legal sector, I worked in banking, then insurance, for over 20 years at various senior and management levels. Key to my achievements are strong self-belief, hard work, determination and importantly spiritual life! I enjoy working and being busy and so my hands are always full: two children, marriage, nine-to-five job, classes, studying, church responsibilities, my adorable granddaughter, Zylah, …the list is endless.
Most days are like a roller coaster ride, but all very fulfilling! My journey has not been easy, but I never lost sight and with every opportunity I tried to empower and encourage people to be the best they can be, as anything is possible. Involvement in charity and church work are other ways I try to impact lives.
