It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die. That is true, it’s called Life.’ With those simple words Terry Pratchett encapsulates the greatest lesson we can take from life: enjoy the journey, make the most of every moment as, before you know it, it is gone. Those words may sound sad, but I try to see it as a source of inspiration.
Playing your hand as well as you can has always struck me as quite the best goal in life. Like all of us, I often do not get it right, but sometimes I do. On balance, it is a goal that has served me well.

You won’t find many industries as fun, interesting, complex and enjoyable as insurance. I am incredibly lucky it has been my career home. The City is one of the most beautiful and exciting places in the world. When I walk across London Bridge it still takes my breath away. I hope that never stops.
As for relationships: colleagues you love working with and can trust, friends as family, family as friends, roaring with laugher and refusing to take life (and me) too seriously. What’s the meaning of life? Well enjoyment, of course.
