Arlene Stewart | AXA

My family moved from Glasgow to Monifieth when I was six and my career in the insurance industry started in 1991 at General Accident in Dundee. I took a year out to travel around Australia before returning to Scotland to re-join GA where I progressed my career working in Dundee, Perth and then Glasgow, which became my home again. I then joined Esure where I met my wife who worked in our Manchester office.

As Chair of AXA UK’s Pride Network, I am proud of what we achieved, flying the flag for the LGBT+ community.

In 2007, I moved to AXA and am fortunate to have had a great career to date, having met and worked with many amazing people along the way. I am particularly proud of our award-winning Modern Apprenticeship programme and the fantastic opportunities it has provided those starting out their careers in the insurance industry.

I was also Chair of AXA UK’s Pride Network which was great fun and I’m proud of what we achieved, flying the flag for the LGBT+ community.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and our 13-year-old Beagle exploring dog-friendly pubs and eateries. I am a crazy Celtic fan and obviously delighted we’ve just won the league for the 10th time in 11 seasons!
