Louise Day | IUA
My uncle was stationed on the HMS Belfast and as a child I visited with my family. Back then I never looked across the river or registered the existence of the City. Mind you the skyline was very different in the 70s! After chairing a London Market committee I was completely hooked by insurance and in 2014 I was approached by the IUA to head up market modernisation on behalf of the company market. I was there when PPL was set up and when the LM TOM emerged on the market. I was part of the team that negotiated the first five-year deal for central services and I am now involved in the work to transform those services.

I am passionate about my garden in Sussex, my grown-up sons and my two cats. I love playing crazy golf and my husband and
I have an annual tournament. I recently started knitting again after a 20-year break. I mentor and sponsor several young people and I love helping people realise their full potential. My daughter-in-law summed life up for me when she said: “You can have everything, but not necessarily all at the same time”.
