Heather Auty Johns | Sompo

I started my career at St George’s University Hospital, London, where I qualified as a nurse. After obtaining several qualifications I embarked upon a change in direction and have built a career in human resources and operational management across a variety of sectors including the Lloyd’s insurance market.

Do not let others define you.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my global roles and the change I have been able to influence. During my time at Tokio Marine Kiln, and following a complete review of our engagement strategy including our culture, values, talent and remuneration strategy, we achieved 12th place in The Times best companies to work for (the highest entry for a new entrant ever!).

This was followed by two awards for the ‘Best International Graduate Scheme.’

When not working I love to read, dance, travel and I am an active contributor to a variety of charities. I also have two long-haired Chihuahuas, which are spoilt rotten!
