I joined Willis Faber & Dumas at the age of 16, working in marine insurance as a policy drafter. By age 29, I had achieved a seat on the Service Board leading the 42-strong production team in Ipswich. Managing and developing talent was something I thoroughly enjoyed andhad an aptitude for.
I am proud to be able to coach and mentor colleagues through their journey into leaders of our future.
In 1990, I took a career break to have a family and in 1996 launched my own event and catering business, which I ran successfully for 16 years. In 2012, I re-joined WTW as part of the global learning and development (L&D) team, leading to my current role as Foundational Talent Lead and L&D Business Partner at Gallagher Re.
I am proud to be able to coach and mentor colleagues through their journey into leaders of our future. We all can learn something new every day!
My current role enables me to promote all aspects of reinsurance, highlighting this as a rewarding and exciting career, incorporating the recruitment and development of high calibre and diverse UK and international graduates and school leavers into the industry through our reinsurance achievement programme, which was launched in 2017.
What better way to spend time towards the end of your career than to support young talented professionals – it is extremely rewarding.
